Helen E Cosmetics Midnight eyeliner

Okay so recently Helen E Cosmetics had a little promotional give-away for people to sample there products, you could choose between and eye-liner and a lip liner, i choose an eye-liner in midnight.

The eye-liner costs £7.99 from there website

The eye-liner is 1.2g and when opened it will last 24months. It comes with a smudger on the end which is pretty nice because it means you don't have to go out and buy a new brush.

The colour is a deep blue with lots of shimmer, i love the way it sparkles in the light. It has a creamy texture and goes on well, there is a smell to it, its like a make up smell lol. Its really hard to describe but it doesn't put me off. It kinda smells like your mums make up did in the 80's/90's thats if your old enough to remember that, its a comforting smell to us older ladies :p

So far its lasted on my eyes a while, you CAN NOT rub your eyes when wearing this product, i warn you the glitter/shimmer will be everywhere. Be warned though i rub my eyes quite hard.

I really do love this product, its such good quality and i would expect to pay a little more for something like this, it doesnt drag on your eyelids when applying and it doesnt seem heavy either.

I have not been paid to write this review (i didnt pay for the product because it was on a promotion open to everyone) This has not influenced me in any way.

Avon true colour eyeshadow quad Purple haze

Hello,

Ask me a few years ago if i was a fan of Avon and i would have said NO! No way, being raised by a parent who was an Avon rep, and being dragged from door to door shouting at little old ladies AVON! was not my idea of fun. Please be aware i was about 5 when i was doing this.

I always had this preconceived idea that the make up was for older people and that the colour pay of would have much to be desired but as I got older (23) i decided id give it another go, 2 Avon reps later and i ordered about £40 worth of stuff, dont look so shocked some of it was clothing.

So i want to talk about the True colour quads. I have three of these, Fresh cut greens, Purple haze and Mocha latte. The one im going to tell you about is Purple haze.

So as you can see there are four colours, good really given its a eyeshadow quad.

1 - A very pale purple used as a highlighter
2 - Lilac purple used for the eyelid
3 - Deep purple used for the crease
4 - Pearly grey used for the outer corner.

The colours are fairly pigmented and i like the way they feel, there very easy to blend and are fantastic to wear on there own or all together as shown on the back of the box they come with. The instructions are really easy to use too so you don't have to be a professional or use make up everyday to get it right.

Pros: -
Delivered to your door (free if you have an Avon rep)
Lasts ages
Good pigmentation
Cheap (I got mine for £5on offer, or £10 normally)
Good selection of colours
Not tested on animals
Nice packaging
Handy mirror inside

Cons:-
Sometimes if you have a rep the stuff is out of stock and it takes a while to get to you.

Avon Sassy Swirls Vanilla Bean Review and Giveaway (closed)

Hello again,

So today I've decided to tell you about Avon's sassy swirls Eau De Toilette. They come in 3 different scents the one I'm going to tell you about is called Vanilla Bean, they retail for £5 and you can get them online or from your Avon rep.

Everyone has been raving about these, in fact they were in so much demand they have been pulled from the most recent broucher, my rep says they will be back but that there's just to much demand at the moment.

The bottle sizes are a handy 15ml so there easy to pop in your bag and take with you, the packaging is fairly cute for the one I'm telling you about the box is a light brown colour with a darker brown swirl, its recyclable too. The bottle packaging is plastic i think and is clear so you can see how much you have left in with a brown swirl.

Pros:-

Easy to fit into your bag
Sweet smelling
Cheap
Lasts ages (at least it does on me)
Do not test on animals nor do they ask anyone to do so on there behalf.

Cons:-

Its hard to get hold of.

So for your chance to win a brand new boxed Sassy Swirls Vanilla Bean Eau De Toilette, all you have to do is follow this blog and comment this post with your name and e-mail address, the winner will be chosen at random and contacted via e-mail, the closing date for this competition will be Monday 20th June so you have 2 weeks.

I am not paid by any of the companies i write about, it is my honest opinion and i use my own money to purchase the products i use.

Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum

Hello again,
So i wanted to tell you all about this lip scrub I've had for a fair while now, its by a company called Lush.

So here is what it says:-
Fresh handmade cosmetics
Bubblegum flavour sugar lip scrub
Made from Castor Sugar, Organic Jojoba Oil, Flavour, Colour 45410, Colour 45380
Estimated 25g
Vegan
This product cost £4.75 and you can order online too.

These are available in 2 other flavours but this is my personal favourite.Lush do not test on animals and use suppliers that care for the environment.
 How to use:

Just dip your finger into the sugar (yum yum) and rub onto your lips in a circular motion, once all the sugar is on your lips, here comes the best part... lick it off nom nom nom, your lips will feel super smooth and you'll have had a yummy treat lol. Then all you have to do is put on a coat of your favourite lip balm and you'll be surprised with the difference it makes.

Pros:-

Vegan
Do not test on animals
Lasts a long time
Smells nice
Tastes nice
Does what it says
Good price (looks expensive but lasts ages so its worth it)
Very little packaging
Packaging is recyclable.

Cons:-

Probably that the taste is so nice that you get addicted and need a lush rehab.

Sun Sun Sun... in the UK Ambre Solaire sun protection spray review.

So firstly hello, Welcome to my blog.

I'm sat here in my room, the sun is shining for a change and I'm eating a rather yummy yogurt from Rumblers its £1 in Morrisons but you can get them in boots too so long as its not a small sucky boots like the one in our town. I suggest you try one. I'm eating the raspberry one but there's a chocolate one too for all you none health freak people or those health freaks that want to be a little naughty he he.

So anyway back to what I'm wanting to write about... Since its been pretty hot and I'm one of those people that don't wear sun screen because a: I'm stupid and b: I hate the white marks and the foul smell it leaves, i wanted to tell you about this new one i just purchased and i am currently using.

Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect + SPF50 High.

The bottle size is 200ml
So the claim is that its Transparent body protection spray meaning it should leave no white marks, and its very water resistant.

No white marks, just comes out clear.
Okay so i would say its water resistant since the water just ran off and balled up on my hand like some sort of waterproof coat.
Pros:
Cost £6.99 from Wilkinsons
Smells pretty nice
Comes on clear, no white marks
Is water resistant
None greasy

Cons:
Can not use on the face
UVA protection is only 3 stars (good)
Adult use only so you have to get separate for the children (if you have any)
Can be expensive if bought from other stores.
